My latest trip to USA was a bit strange. I had no major plans and to be honest I didn't see as mush as during last trip in 2024. It makes sense at the end. This country is sooo big that you need to have a very strong reasons to drive somewhere for four hours one way to see one attraction. Other method is obvious. Drive to the point and stay overnight and drive again to next place.
I was lucky enough because place where I stayed was surrounded by interesting places and one of them was little town called Harpers Ferry, WV. This historically important town is situated on a confluence of two rivers, Potomac and Shenandoah. You can climb on the nearby hills to see this amazing place from above. I did that and by that I had chance to take few amazing shots of two rivers flowing together. On the picture you can spot two railway bridges. One of them is used by cargo trains transporting stones from nearby Quarry and second used by Amtrak train going from Washington to Chicago.
Interestingly and sadly in the same time two days after my visit to Harpers Ferry, area was almost flooded because of intensive rainfall. Local authorities declared a flood alert along the Potomac River, which remained in effect for several days but allowed me to reach the area and take some photos.
