Ząbki

Long time I wasn't writing anything here. I'm not sure why. Lack of discipline, motivation, interest. Maybe all above. For sure I had plenty of time due to road accident I was involved in so It wasn't typical excuse " I had no time". Not this time. However I had plenty of opportunity to fly my drone. I was over in Poland for Christmas to visit my family and spend some time in my hometown.

Picture above shows newer part of town located in the suburbs of Warsaw where I come from. Skyscrapers of capital are visible on the horizon. On the second plan one of three churches in Ząbki is visible and finally on the first plan the tower of mental hospital is located. As you can see weather on that day was absolutely stunning.

We went for a walk with my father trough the forest surrounding my hometown. These woods are massive I have to say. It's been always in my bucket list when I'm in this area. When you talk to my father he always says that it's not the same as it used to be. Suburbs of Warsaw have grown a ton in last decades and my town population increased from aprox 20,000 in early 2000's to aprox 45,000 in 2023. Same forest are not that wild anymore according to my father and it is hard to disagree. However for me walking among countless trees is still quite event as there are no big forest In Ireland as far as I'm concerned. Or walk ended up on the grounds of famous mental hospital which is divided into two parts. The tower visible on the close plan on the picture above is part of old hospital which is abandoned nowadays. Newly build hospital(and forest) is visible on picture below. I highly recommend visiting Zabki and go for a walk in the forest. Forest that's very important to me and my childhood friends. We could always went there to hide to do not always the smartest things. Kids. You know.
